Ultimately it weighed the story down unnecessarily and the characters constant knack for being right about pretty much every theory they had without any debate made me dislike them even more than I already did for the never-ending history lessons. But neither of them could have imagined what awaits them in the murky depths. The main three characters in this book started out perfect and ended up perfect. And the Hey Phaistos! Ever since then, historians, adventurers, explorers and multitudes of New Age nuts have advanced theories about its location and significance. I made it about halfway through this book.


I plan to pick up the second book at some point, but it’s not too high on my list within this genre. Could there possibly be a terrifying new version of ‘Atlantis’, a priesthood of evil?
